Medley
Medley provides a consistent backend API and a development helper for setup and integration inspection. Hosted Medley owns persistent administration.
npm install @blakeley-place/medley
- Vite: run the dev server and open
<app-base>/medley/. - Electron: run your existing
electron .orelectron-vite devstart/dev command; a separate developer window opens.
Automatic installation supports specific host shapes, not arbitrary web or Electron tooling. See installation and removal for supported configurations and exact changes.
The helper is development-only. It checks public configuration and shows static Medley imports; runtime tracing and code-defined access inspection are not shipped. It opens hosted Medley in your browser to create/reuse an app and download medley.json. Public configuration is not a credential. Production APIs require explicit integration and authentication.
Loopsea and the Electron fixture are validation hosts, not places to implement Medley features. Their source remains independent of Medley until explicitly integrated.

Use Node 24 for development. Run npm ci, npm test, npm run typecheck, and npm run format:check. Native Electron lifecycle checks run separately in CI.
