Permission state overrides for React Native: make your app see not asked, allowed, limited, denied or blocked for location, camera, notifications and more, without touching device settings. Works with Expo modules, PermissionsAndroid and react-native-perm
Make your React Native app see any permission state (not asked, allowed, limited, denied or blocked) for location, camera, notifications, photos and more. You can test the prompt, the refusal screen and the trip to Settings without changing the device's settings or reinstalling the app.
The tool appears in FloatingDevTools on its own. It works with Expo modules (expo-location, expo-camera, expo-notifications, expo-image-picker, expo-media-library, expo-contacts and others), React Native's PermissionsAndroid and react-native-permissions, with no extra setup. If your app checks a permission while its modules load, import the package first in your entry file so a saved override applies before that check:
import "@buoy-gg/permissions";
The Permissions guide lists the states each platform supports and what the override can and can't change. New to Buoy? Start with the Quick start.
