The stable loader and framework contract for Proto's hosted rig. React and Vue adapters load the current compatible runtime through loadRuntime(manifest, signal), then use its store and lifecycle methods. The runtime owns state, URL/history, bridge, themes, capture, and selection behavior.

Every opening checks the active release and verifies downloaded code by SHA-256. There is no offline startup fallback. Existing running sessions survive connection loss; opening or refreshing without a compatible runtime fails with Retry.
